History of Dentistry
The history of dentistry is also the history of life sciences.  The idea that man can repair the body and relieve the pain and suffering associated with various ailments and afflictions.  The development of dentistry parallels the development of modern medicine in western culture and is integrated with medical sciences in eastern culture. In this section we will explore the development of dentistry through time.
 

Tooth Facts

A dental restoration replaces the shape and function of a tooth.  Restorations are used in situations where much of a tooth is destroyed or missing.  Restorations are more complicated than fillings because so much of the tooth has to be replaced.  A system like the CEREC 3D system allows the dentist to create a restoration in just one visit.
